Harlem Shambles is a boutique butcher shop serving locally sourced beef, lamb, pork and poultry. We work with a handful of New York farms to bring you all natural meat you can feel good about. We embrace the whole animal philosophy, and our classically trained butchers provide you with the freshest custom cuts with minimal waste.
The shop was founded by Tim and Mark Forrester, and the brothers knew that the Frederick Douglass location was the right spot from the moment they saw it. They liked the energy in the neighborhood and the excitement behind the other new businesses opening there. We have a terrific staff helping you, from a butcher with 40 years of experience, to a newer butcher who worked his way up from the back room of a local supermarket chain. Everyone who works at Harlem Shambles lives within one mile of the shop. Local, just like all of our products.
